Circulating supply; the last time I posted a discussion topic it was on Market Capitalisation and during the discussion post I told you about how a coin’s supply will determine its market capitalisation and I gave you an example of how staking affects the total supply of a cryptocurrency, I write this post to give more examples on what can affect a coins circulating supply. The circulating supply of a coin can increase such as in the case of bitcoin as It continues to be mined till it reaches the maximum supply. On the other hand, the circulating supply of a coin can decrease by events such as coin burns, binance promises to continually use a percentage of their profits to buy back BNB coins and burn them in order to reduce supply. Another example is the cake token, the native token of pancake swap that is continually burned. The circulating supply is different from the maximum or total supply of a coin.
