Grayscale Ethereum Trust is solely and passively invested in Ethereum, enabling investors to gain exposure to ETH in the form of a security while avoiding the challenges of buying, storing, and safekeeping ETH directly.

When a company is registered it becomes a legal entity. I think this brings about encouragement in registering or working with that company

Crypto asset manager Grayscale's Ethereum Trust has crossed the $1 billion mark in assets under management (AUM). The milestone means Grayscale is now managing a billion-dollar worth of ether (ETH) on behalf of its clients. Grayscale's Ethereum Trust allows investors to take indirect exposure to ETH in the form of a security, while avoiding the challenges of buying and storing ETH directly

I think Greyscale is competent and daring to have gone public! They are doing good at the moment with grade A reporting policy embellished with utmost transparency that allows investors to be on the same page of development with the managers.
