Canada is once again set to be the first to launch an ETF. It's now launching the Ethereum ETF.
Previously Canada became the first North American country to embrace the Bitcoin ETF.

The developments proves to be a very profitable venture for the country. The ETF was opened in February, but within a week, it was worth $500 million. As of now, it is worth over 1.4 billion Canadian dollars.
So now it wants to replicate its success. This time with Ethereum. This time it's not only first in North America but all over the globe. It would be a global first for Ethereum ETF.
Mr. Seif, CEO and one of the architects of the ETF, was talking about the reason behind their choosing Ethereum. He said that ether and its systems are among the most exciting innovation concepts today, even if bitcoin is the name and face and the foremost cryptocurrency. Elucidating on their role, the CEO of the consultant company on the ETF, Ether Capital, said their position in the project is to ensure that the more complicated elements of the possession and operations dealing with cryptocurrency work together. He pointed out that for their customers, they have concentrated on solving core problems involving ETH custody, transactions, and liquidity.
Three other ETFs were also given the go-ahead by the Canadian Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) for Tuesday 20th April. They're CI global asset management, Galaxy Digital, and Evolve.
With the world's lowest management fee, CI global asset management, their product is designed to provide investors with the value of Ethereum and the ecosystem as it grows.
In early April, a new record of inflow of Canadian Bitcoin ETFs was announced by Senior ETF Analyst Eric Balchunas. People believe that this would put pressure on the U.S also to start allowing the trade of crypto ETFs. There are already 9 ETF petitions from various companies on the SEC's desk.

Ethereum has been trading above $2,000 for weeks now, reaching a new of recently. Some believe that with the recent upgrades and developments, the altcoin could reach $5,000 this year.
