The crashing of several crypto exchanges is a recent phenomenon plaguing the crypto world. A recent incident in that regard is FTX's downfall, which turned the crypto world upside down through numerous developments. First, reports revealed that this exchange, one of the biggest in the world, was the victim of a $400 million hack. Now, FTX is one of many exchanges on that line. In addition, another cryptocurrency exchange has halted its activities and announced its operations will cease in a few months.

Bitfront, a U.S. cryptocurrency exchange sponsored by the Japanese social media company Line Corp, announced it had ceased new sign-ups and credit card payments. The firm also said it would stop operating within the next few months. This development followed their attempts at addressing difficulties in the rapidly changing sector.

The California-based firm stated in a post on its website on Sunday that, despite its best efforts, it's sadly decided that it must close down BitFront to carry on the expansion of the LINE blockchain ecosystem and LINK token economy.

Regarding the officials currently looking into FTX for criminal misbehavior, Bitfront claimed the action had nothing to do with current disputes involving particular cryptocurrency exchanges suspected of misconduct.

FTX had declared bankruptcy earlier this month, and on Monday, cryptocurrency financier BlockFi, adversely affected by exposure to FTX's demise, applied for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

According to Bitfront, withdrawals will stop on March 31, 2023, after they stop new sign-ups and credit card payments as of November 28. The business stated clearly that interest payments for amounts deposited between December 5 and December 11 would be delivered on December 13, 2022.
