Chess Legend, Gary Kasparov Backs BTC

News • 2020/07/24 • by Remitano

The greatest chess player and chairman of the human rights foundation, Gary Kasparov has shown his support for bitcoin as he believes it can serve as a medium to combat human rights violations. He stated that digital currency serves as a private and safer means of making financial transactions.

He also added that unlike the traditional financial system, for instance, the Federal Reserve System that you can’t predict the amount of dollars that might be pumped in the future, BTC has a fixed and maximum number that will ever be mined. This gives people a kind of control over their finances.

According to him, people are realizing that many important elements of our lives are been owned and controlled by either the state or outside parties and will gladly receive and accept anything that allows them to regain control of their privacy. This simple fact ultimately makes the steady rise in crypto popularity inevitable.

Explaining the downsides, the chess master believes the positives and negatives of this technology depend on the user and there is a lot of misconceptions about digital assets.
