Fans Vote with Tokens to Select Club’s Winning Team

Blockchain empowered fans to decide team formation and starting attackers and they won in a friendly match.

Integrating blockchain tech provided by Socios.com, Cyprus based football club, Apollo FC allowed fans to use tokens to vote the formation and starting team in a friendly game which they won. Apollon FC becomes the first team to achieve such level of fan participation in history. Fans can truly coach their teams to victory if this continues.

Major Updates

Apollon FC won Aris Limassol 6 nill in a friendly game with the fans' selection.
Only Apollon fans that purchased its APL token on Socios were able to vote.
The participants chose the attackers to be fielded and popular 4-2-3-1 attacking formation.
Three of the fans' selections saw the back of the net in the friendly.
The Apollon Token, APL rose by a significant percentage through the match.

The teams head coach was delighted that the fans could assist him to select the team and appreciates their input. The voting platform has partnered with many reputable clubs around the planet. Socios.com has worked with likes of Barcelona, PSG and Juve to develop fan tokens.

Selecting my own teams formation, well that would be a dream come through for football lovers, I don't love football neither do I watch it, I still think van persea plays for arsenal. Don't even know if I spelt his name correct.

As a club, we want to have a connection with our fans and represent them in the best way possible…we will give our fans the chance to help me and the rest of the team with the selection and hopefully, they will appreciate the fact that we value their opinion.

This is highly scintillating to have blockchain tech changed the sporting orientation in soccer. I must give kudos to the Apollon FC and the fans for their topmost exposure and initiative for adopting blockchain token to create historical sporting event that gives result. Interesting to know that Apollon Token (APL) appreciates after the winning. I think to some extent crypto has also taken over in the sporting industry to have innovated sport Tokens through Socios.com and I hope some day my Club - Chelsea FC can join the likes of Barcelona, PSG, Juve and others to replicate similar experience to fans.

Apollo FC seeking their fans opinions by allowing them vote with Apollon Token (APL) to select their club's winning team is a great historical innovation in the Blockchain industry as through the match APL token was significantly promoted. Well choosing my team starting lineup will be by guessing and I may end up not choosing a good player as I don't have adequate knowledge in football 🤦🤦
