News • 2022/11/15 • by Remitano

Over the past few weeks, FTX turned the crypto world upside down through numerous developments that resulted in the exchange's downfall. Over the weekend, the troubled cryptocurrency exchange FTX was the victim of a $400 million hack.

Experts believe this could be the work of an elevated insider who may have accidentally divulged their name. But on the other hand, investors remain confronted with this shocking collapse, which they regard as one of the sector's most prominent and influential companies.

The exchange's CEO, Sam Bankman-Fried, has always been loud about the need for increased regulation of the cryptocurrency business. Even though he mostly ran FTX from his headquarters in the Bahamas, outside of U.S. jurisdiction, he still stood by these ideals. Many cryptocurrency backers oppose government regulation. The demise of FTX strengthened the case for more stringent regulation.

Sam Bankman-Fried's bizarre, cryptic tweets attract even wilder theories

In light of the exchange's bankruptcy and Bankman-Fried's perception among many crypto supporters, his most recent Twitter thread drew numerous criticisms and speculation. The former CEO of the now-defunct cryptocurrency exchange FTX started a peculiar Twitter thread on November 14 that sparked interest from the crypto world and some skepticism.

The most recent tweet as of this writing, was sent by Bankman-Fried at 5:30 a.m. UTC on November 15 and stated, "This is all as I recall it, but my recollection might be wrong in sections." The other tweets, sent over several hours, spell out "What Happened."

Bankman-Fried, when questioned by the New York Times on November 14 about his strange tweets, stated that the string of tweets would be more than one word. Then, after saying he doesn't know, he stated the reason for improvising who he is, which he thinks is time.

The remarks sparked immediate conjecture on Twitter, with crypto YouTuber Stephen Findeisen declaring that he was back on the amphetamines, presumably in connection to Bankman-Fried mentioning trying out the amphetamine Adderall in a podcast from October 2020.

Others made light of the unusual Twitter thread's opening by joking that Bankman-attorney Fried had stepped in to prevent him from sharing anything that would be considered incriminating if judicial charges were brought.

Another angle that journalist and author Alex Berenson revealed is that Bankman-Fried may have sent the tweets to use illness or psychological strain to defend his acts if he is ever summoned before a court.

According to a now-debunked notion, Bankman-Fried reportedly chose the new tweets to hide the erasure of his previous, implicating ones in an apparent attempt to deceive tweet-tracking bots that utilize his account's overall tweet count to detect deleted tweets, according to a now-debunked notion.

In a document published by the TIE, a crypto insights platform, on November 15, it was claimed that Bankman-Fried had deleted at least 118 tweets in the previous year. However, the TIE added that since their software records tweets every 15 minutes, it's possible that more were missed.

In light of all these, others

Bankman-Fried is simply trying to increase attention on his posts by click-farming. But, according to data from the social media analytics tool Social Blade, between Nov. 7 and 13, when the FTX drama started to develop, Bankman-Twitter Fried's following increased by more than 202,000.

His third most common tweet will be his first in the enigmatic thread.
