In the suit filed by Binance, they asserted that Forbes's statement was defamatory and has caused them damages worth millions of dollars.
With the credibility of the lawsuit being questioned, one sure thing is the seriousness of Binance. The cryptocurrency trading firm has acquired the services of Harder Charles, a lawyer well-known for standing for Hulk Hogan in a case against Gawker Media.

The lawyer secured a $115 million payment as compensation for damages and another $25 million in penal damages in 2016 for his client after the accused released parts of a sex tape on their website.
The prosecution by Charles brought about the decline of Gawker Media soon afterward. Co-founder of PayPal and founder of Palantir, Thiel Peter, assisted in financing the suits after Gawker Media published a header that cited Peter's sexual orientation.
Charles also made the news more lately by representing the United States president in a sexual-charged suit filed against Donald Trump by Clifford Stephanie.
Harder has also represented other family relations of the United States president, including the wife of the United States president, Melania Trump.
In a lawsuit filed against Daily Mail of the United Kingdom, Charles secured an apology and $2.9 million after the newspaper stated Melania had offered services further than modeling.
