1.1 million BTC could be hidden with clues embedded within the Bitcoin blockchain.

This has speculations circulating that this bitcoin stash could be a hidden treasure meant to be found.

Major Updates

  • Online detectives have studied the Bitcoin blockchain for clues on this supposed treasure.
  • Theories have been circulating for years, and many people believe this claim.

Several theories and discussions have been made on the bitcointalk.org site. There, investigators have come together to study the Bitcoin blockchain for possible clues to this extreme "treasure hunt."

One "old gold digger" even believes that the anonymous Nakamoto mined Bitcoin so that he or she deliberately wanted these coins to be found and identified.

One individual even took the bold step to address Satoshi Nakomoto him or herself. An account dubbed "Threadsupport" published a letter directed at Nakomoto, asking forwardly if there was a bitcoin prize competition.

“We think that you have created a bitcoin prize competition and that the private keys are somehow within the blockchain,” Threadsupport wrote.

“We are trying to solve it and will move the rewarding coins. If you want to add something to that statement, please don’t hesitate,” the user added.

Interestingly, if Nakamoto had mined around 1 million bitcoins, they would most likely be located in 20,000 separate addresses with precisely 50 coins in each of them.

Finally, with roughly 1 million Bitcoin in possession of one person, Satoshi Nakomoto could be the richest man or woman on Earth. Although, maybe it is not about the wealth of the identity. Online investigators then referred to the famous Satoshi quote;

“Lost coins only make everyone else’s coins worth slightly more. Think of it as a donation to everyone.”

The investigators, as mentioned above, choose to believe that this quote may not be referring to coins lost over time but to the hidden bitcoin stash of about 1.1 million coins. They think that finding this would mean finding the legacy of the famous Satoshi Nakomoto.

Hence, the anonymous Bitcoin creator is believed to have kept the stash as a prize for whoever will find it and carefully placed the private keys within the Bitcoin blockchain.

1.1 million BTC is huge and mysterious for an individual to control in the world plagued by terrorism, political upheaval and economic turmoil. Satoshi should find a way to make charity with this hidden treasure to alleviate poverty in the third world nations.
