On Thursday, customers will be allowed to "make and cancel limit orders," according to Bitstamp, who also stated that "order matching will begin and transactions will be processed properly" that day. The exchange explained,

"We will authorize all order types and card purchases for the new trading pairs once the order books have gathered sufficient liquidity."

"For the time being, these assets will not be accessible to our US and Singapore consumers," Bitstamp said.

As crypto CEOs testify, Bitcoin remained stable, but Ether rose.

On Wednesday, Bitcoin was hovering around $50,000 as the crypto market watched the CEOs of six big crypto businesses provide their views on regulation before the US House Financial Services Committee. Ether was over $4,400 for a significant part of the day.

According to CoinDesk statistics, bitcoin was trading at $50,676 at the time of writing, up marginally over the previous 24 hours. On Wednesday, transaction volume on major controlled exchanges plummeted once again.

On Wednesday, a large chunk of the crypto community was focused on a congressional hearing on digital currencies and stablecoins.

Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire, FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, Bitfury CEO Brian Brooks, Paxos CEO Charles Cascarilla, Stellar Development Foundation CEO Denelle Dixon, and Coinbase CEO Alesia Haas (who is also a chief financial officer of the Coinbase Global parent company) all testified.

Amid Cascarilla’s involvement, stellar (XLM) values climbed by nearly 6 percent on Wednesday.

On a relative basis, the success of XLM tokens hasn't been very outstanding, with a gain of only roughly 98.6% over the last year compared to ether's 691 percent gain.

Bitcoin Hash-rate goes back to record high.

After plummeting to as low as 84 EH/s in June, Bitcoin's global hash rate has subsequently rebounded to roughly 175 EH/s this week.

After the Chinese government's assault on the crypto mining industry, the Bitcoin network's worldwide hash rate plummeted to as little as 84 exahashes per second (EH/s) at the beginning of June.

The worldwide hash rate has climbed by 108 percent since June, as per Blockchain.com, with the Bitcoin network functioning at a seven-day rolling mean of 175 EH/s as of Wednesday.

The result is around 3% lower than the top levels of 180 EH/s seen in May at the end of the last bull cycle. It is a widely held opinion that hash rate trends correlate with the price of Bitcoin (BTC), implying that despite the current market's negative views, there may be some positive price movement on the horizon.

However, the accuracy of the worldwide hash rate ATH is difficult to ascertain because several major sites have different assessments of the Bitcoin network's history and present performance.

As per BitInfoCharts, the ATH peaked at 197 EH/s in May before decreasing to 68 EH/s in June. According to the platform, Bitcoin's hash rate was 191 EH/s on Wednesday, while YCharts put it at 186 EH/s.
