Lido outperforms MakerDAO, has the highest TVL in DeFi

Lido is the dominant liquid staking protocol in terms of ETH staking. This number especially increased when the Ethereum Merge took place in September 2023. Recently, this helped Lido surpass MakerDAO to become the platform with the highest TVL, which is $5.9 billion. Just dethroned is MakerDAO with $5.89 billion in TVL. And ranked third is AAVE with TVL of 3.7 billion USD. According to Lido's website, there is currently $5.8 billion in ETH staked on this platform, representing 31% of ETH staking. The following two competitors are Coinbase and Kraken with ETH stakes of 15% and 8.5% respectively.
