Kosala Hemachandra, who created Myetherwallets have this belief that Ethereum 2.0 would kick off in 2020, but the full operation will, however, not happen until serveral years to come.
The initial stage of ETH 2.0 was rescheduled for launch on the 5th anniversary after it was initially slated for January 2020.
The creator of Myetherwallet is positive that phase 0 will kick off anytime this year, but he says the full operation of Ethereum 2.0 won't be until 2022.
There are three stages to Ethereum 2.0 (serenity) beacon chain: phase 0, shard chains, phase one, and the shard chain execution, which is phase two.
The beacon chain, which is the initial step of Ethereum 2.0, is usually referred to as ETH 2.0 by most people. Hemachandra says he is assured of launch in 2020 on the mainnet.
In addition, he said one of the reasonable plans to launch Ethereum 2.0 was the careful procedure that was taken. When software updates deal with user funds and fixed chains, it usually takes time. But waiting might be worth it, Hemachandra said. Ethereum 2.0 will still modify the meaning of blockchain tech by building a safe and reliable system.
