Floyx is a social media website with the cryptocurrency community as its primary target, and it has invented a new way to fight crypto scammers by launching a new creative system. Floyx CEO stated that they are trying to fight scammers from impersonating famous crypto figures in the industry with this system.
As mentioned multiple times in famous crypto news websites, many scammers try to trick unsuspecting victims by impersonating famous crypto figures like Binance CEO, Tron CEO, or even Vitalik Buterin (co-founder of Ethereum).
Floyx, however, believes that it has found a way to combat these impersonators. On Flox different account types need to be verified before they can become publicly available. For example, a crypto startup or a person related to a famous crypto company must be verified before they can send messages to regular Floyx users.
The verification process itself has several different options. People can use their Twitter profiles and verify them on Floyx, or they can upload documents like standard KYC procedure.
The idea of “verify first before you can contact other users” sounds brilliant to prevent scammers preying on naive and casual users. Floyx itself has similar concepts and functionalities to Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and other mainstream social media platforms.
