The mean transaction fee on the ETH blockchain has decreased by 82% from a record high of $11.61 in September to $2.09 this month. The decrease could be as a result of a decline in the boost of DeFi activities.
The miners of ETH have experienced a similar sudden decline in total revenue from costs in the last three weeks. On the 17th of last month, ETH miners gained 47,762 Ethereum, which is about $14.96 million in costs. However, that collapsed to 5,987 Ethereum, which is about $2.06 million on Sunday.
With total profits, costs reducing from 69% to 29% simultaneously, prices have gone up, and last month, those mining Ethereum made a record gain of $500,000 in 60 minutes.
