In 2017, I remember when my attention was caught on a business TV news (CGTN) about the price of bitcoin hitting $1000 for the first time ever and eventually surpassing the price of gold. I got so interested in the cryptocurrency which motivated me to venture into trading with bitcoin. It amazed me that the same bitcoin rose to $19,783.06 on December 17th, 2017.
Back then, I thought that December 2017 will be the peak ever reached for the price of BTC since the price began crashing to $13,412.44 in 1st January, 2018. It kept crashing till it got to about $4,000 in January, 2019. The price kept fluctuating while maintaining reasonable volatility between $10,000 and $13,000 from June, 2019 and February, 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. The crash to less than $4,000 in March, 2020 made it look like BTC will not easily rise again.
