1. Margin 2x - Double Your Trading Capital

1.1. What is Margin Trading?

Margin trading is a form of leveraged trading that lets you buy and sell assets at a larger amount than your capital would otherwise allow. This is possible as the difference between the amplified position and your available capital is temporarily borrowed from your broker.

In return, your broker would either require that you submit collateral for the temporary loan, charge a small fee, and/or charge an interest rate on the sum borrowed. In our case, we charge a small investment fee in addition to an interest rate of 9% per annum or 0.001027% per hour.

Of course, a higher margin also comes with higher risks, especially for new traders. Leveraged trades can go both ways: while traders stand to make twice as much profit, the opposite can also be true if the trade does not go as planned.

As such, while other cryptocurrency exchanges may allow traders to leverage their trades by up to 10 times, 50 times, or even 100 times or more, Remitano will start by allowing our investors to amplify their trades by only twice as much or 2x.

2. Risk management when using Margin

Cryptocurrency is a volatile investment. Besides the benefits, using Margin also has potential risks that investors must be well informed. When the value of the investment drops to nearly 41%, the Remitano system will execute Margin Call - liquidate your coin. In other words, the investment will be closed when the value of the investment falls close to the sum of your total initial loan plus interest, in order to avoid a negative balance.
