A Cryptocurrency exchange plugin for WordPress was launched on the 22nd of April by Tim Draper's Venture. This plugin would enable users to include features of crypto trading on their website or perhaps create a new crypto exchange in a matter of minutes.
The plugin can be used by absolutely anybody with little knowledge of the use of WordPress. According to Alon Goren, the creator of the plugin and also the co-founder of the company, 35% of the websites present on the internet is powered by WordPress.
Although the plugin has been designed for easy customization, it cannot really be called a crypto exchange. The plugin is powered with Totle (a crypto swapping platform) API. It simply reroutes trade orders to other trading platforms with the best prices. Also, the plugin does not feature any in-built facility for the storage of cryptos but can be used with some wallet plugins such as Brave and MetaMask.
Tootle's API enables developers to incorporate combined crypto exchange services into a particular product for Ethereum and common ERC-20 tokens such as BAT and DAI. With this, users can fetch data on specific digital assets, send crypto payments and perform crypto swaps.
