Remitano Adds NGN Wallet for Instant Trades in Naira

“Every improvement contributing to your outstanding experience is our daily motivation.” - Remitano.

Early in May 2020, Remitano added a Naira-based wallet - combining both instant buy/sell and support for deposits and withdrawals. This feature is open only to users from Level 2 and above.
Buyers can now deposit Naira in their Remitano accounts. They can make instant transfers to sellers from their NGN wallets, and instantly withdraw to their bank account as well.

Also, buyers don't always have to be online; they can easily create an ad, and if the seller accepts their bid and clicks on it, the transaction will be completed in a matter of seconds ― it's all automated. The seller, in turn, receives the payment (immediately) in his bank account, while the buyer receives the coin in his wallet.

Breakdown of NGN Wallet and Instant Trade Feature

  • Users: Level 2 account holders and above.
  • Purpose: For buys and sells, storing fiat assets online.
  • Functionalities: User-friendly, instant trades, scam-proof, and fixed rates (no fluctuations).
  • 3 Processes: 1. Access the NGN Wallet 2. Deposit 3. Withdraw
  • Upgrade: The main issue was a delay in fiat currency payouts by the buyer or in the release of coins by the seller. Remitano’s effort mostly aims at simplifying such exchanges, tightening security functions, and improving user experience through instant trades.

How to Use Fiat (NGN) Wallet

1. Access the NGN Wallet

Click on the dashboard and Choose WALLETS.

2. To Deposit

Locate the NGN wallet and click on DEPOSIT.

PS: It is not necessary for users to first click on deposit if they have enough balance in their wallet. It only appears when a "BUY" advertisement is created but the buyer doesn't have enough balance. In this case, the system might require him to make a DEPOSIT.

Select a bank and type the amount you want.

Log into your bank account and transfer the money.

3. To Withdraw

Locate the NGN wallet and click on WITHDRAW.

Create a new account.

Double-check your details (name and number) and click on WITHDRAW.

View your withdrawal history on your bank statement.

Note:

  • Unverified or Level 1 users may withdraw, but may not deposit, due to market characteristics, from the NGN wallet.
  • In the first stage, only Level 4 users can deposit or withdraw money from the Fiat (NGN) wallet. Level 2 and 3 users may start after the pilot period.
  • The maximum amount of deposit/withdrawal has increased to N300,000.
