There are chances that the European Central Bank ECB might bring up the issue for the need to know more about digital Euro mid next year. This is culled from one of the reports dated 2nd October.

As shown in the report, the essence of this is to ensure that retail payment is secured and safe. We have more cryptocurrencies, and there is a need to find a way to protect them. This is why the virtual currency program will answer some questions on the digital Euro raised. Before anything is done, stakeholders will, however, need to lend their voice.

Before creating the digital Euro, a lot of factors have to be considered. If it meets the factors like:

  • Being an attractive solution for payment
  • Solvability of privacy issues
  • Ease of use
  • Availability (even outside the zones where Euro are used)
  • and also provision of solutions,

The green light is on. It must also be created so that it isn’t a platform or opportunity for people to invest.

I think the possible advantages of a digital euro and the rapid changes in the retail payment landscape imply that the Eurosystem needs to be equipped to issue it in the future.

The initiative of the ECB creating more study of the digital Euro is really nice, equipping people with its knowledge before it is created is a very nice thing to do, How i wish SATOSHI NAKAMOTO had this initiative of educating people before bitcoin was created, i would have turned into a millionaire by now

The possible advantages of a digital euro and the rapid changes in the retail payment landscape imply that the Eurosystem needs to be equipped to issue it in the future. A digital euro could support the Eurosystem’s objectives by providing citizens with access to a safe form of money in the fast-changing digital world. This would support Europe’s drive towards continued innovation. It would also contribute to its strategic autonomy by providing an alternative to foreign payment providers for fast and efficient payments in Europe and beyond.

The ECB lag at speedily developing digital Euro will ahead of 2021 will contribute some setback to the Euro zone as major economic blocks like China, Japan, USA and others are already positioned for exploit with their digital currencies. Many of these countries have even moved from development stages to regulatory and adoption. ECB planning public discussion or enlightenment against next year is a waste of precious time because the world is fast moving with crypto and digitization.
