The total profits achieved by the company was the sum of $964 million, a 79% surge from previous years. They also revealed sales processing commissions generated the sum of $468 million, higher by 32%, and lastly, the Cash App raked in $495 million. This is a recorded profit higher by 171%.
Total net revenue generated from the first quarter of 2021 is valued at $5.06 billion, a recorded upthrust of 266%. This is net revenue from Bitcoin transactions which sum up to $1.55 million, 44% higher than the expected total revenue generated. The values are over three times expected with ongoing activities of 3 consecutive years.
On the administrative side of Square Inc., CEO Jack Dorsey expresses on several occasions his pro-Bitcoin expectations for the cryptocurrency. He has more than once predicted that Bitcoin would potentially become a globally accepted currency. The success rate of his company strongly backs up his predictions.
