Further, in the letter to Shroder, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi of the Subcommittee on Economic and Consumer Policy emphasized the absence of support from cryptocurrency exchanges in assisting the US government in reducing business scams and safeguarding investors.

In a supporting statement, the congressman expressed his worries over the exponential development of scams and consumer abuse. He continued by stating his concern about the evident inaction of bitcoin exchanges towards safeguarding users making transactions via their systems.

Krishnamoorthi expressed doubt about the verification method used to table tokens on cryptocurrency exchanges, which, at the end of the day, raises the risks for investors. The Subcommittee requested different papers from Binance US, a subsidiary of the largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, in an effort to assess the scope of their previously indicated worries.

They have also tasked Binance US to tender all demanded papers dating back to the beginning of its operations, and it has been granted until September 12, 2022, to do so.It doesn't end there. In addition to the requests made above, Shroder, on behalf of Binance US, has also been directed to provide responses to inquiries about the tools and procedures used by the exchange to lower fraud, scams, and risks.

He further expressed his opinions, saying that enacting audit protocols will pave the way for demanding specific acknowledgments, delisting, and embracing other security measures.

According to a current poll, 46% of adult cryptocurrency users in the United States experienced financial losses due to the continuing crypto winter. The vast bulk of respondents in this survey tried investing in cryptocurrencies while looking for an additional way to generate investments. They also believed it to be a great way to earn money.
