Joseph Frank Abel, a US citizen, is now the second to admit to fraud relating activities following the admission of Romanian Silviu Catalin Balaci around July. The accused confessed over a video interview before US District Judge, Claire C. Cecchi, admitting to numerous charges including the $722 million fraud.
Based on Craig Carpenter's reports, a US attorney, Abel and four other co-defendants, was initially indicted last year December. They were immediately remandd into custody on charges of collecting money from investors in exchange for shares of supposed crypto mining pools. Also, investors were given referral bonuses for recruiting new investors.
