Binance Guarantees to help Retrieve Money Lost in Recent $5 million Eterbase Attack

Eterbase, a digital currency exchange located in Slovakia, was a target of a cyberattack that resulted in the loss of $5 million. Part of the funds was transferred to some well-known digital currency exchange such as Binance, Huobi global, and hitBTC, based on reports from Eterbase.

Changpeng Zhao, chief executive of Binance, responded, saying its security team has been working and would do all in their capacity to stop the circulation of the stolen funds.

As of now, neither Huobi global nor HitBTC has made any public remark on this issue. Eterbase stated that its operations continues as usual and users would be kept informed about the situation.

Coincheck, a Japanese digital currency exchange, also suffered a huge attack two years ago, where the exchange lost 534 million dollars through lots of unauthorized transactions from its hot wallet.
