An announcement has been made that Ryozo Himino will be the new chairman of the (FSA) financial services Agency.

Himino has been pronounced as the agency's leader by the FSA's executive director as of July 20. He was the former international financial deputy counselor of the agency, and now he is the leader of the financial watchdog of Japan.

Ryozo Himini himself might with an open mind be bullish on Crypto. Last month while Himini was still the international Financial Deputy Counselor of the Agency, he was responsible for inviting Blockstream's CEO Adam Back to Fukuoka for a seminar at a G20 meeting. Additionally, The central bankers and regulators saw things differently with the comparison he made between the Facebook virtual currency Libra and an Alarm clock.

Japanese bank forming a group to investigate CBDC

On the 20th of July, it was reported that the Japanese bank is creating a group to do some investigations on a central bank digital currency (CBDC). The Japanese bank has recently been operating with the central bank of Switzerland, the central bank of the United Kingdom, the central bank of Sweden, the central bank of EU, and Canada to reflect on the viability of cryptocurrencies.

A crypto-friendly regulator like the chairman who has just been assigned would certaainly be more inclined to hasten Japan to release a digital yen.
