Key Takeaways

  • Crypto.com agrees partnership deal with the UFC
  • Deal believed to be worth $175 million
  • Crypto companies increasingly partnering with sport organizations

Crypto.com broke the news in a press release on their website with key details about the partnership. As part of the deal, the exchange will appear on all merchandise, kits, and clothing worn by members of the UFC organization.
Crypto.com will also leverage UFC’s growing popularity for marketing and commercial purposes to boost the global adoption of its services. Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek revealed that the deal was a major milestone for the organization.

He also believes that the exchange will benefit from the partnership, which would help increase awareness about cryptocurrencies globally. However, Crypto.com did not reveal the total cost of the deal. There are reports that it is a $175 million partnership spread across ten years.

The partnership is expected to officially begin in the UFC 264 event scheduled to hold on July 10 in Las Vegas and headlined by the fight between Dustin Poirier and Connor McGregor.

Crypto companies have looked towards the sporting industry to bolster visibility and adoption. In April, FTX signed a long-term 19-year partnership with the Miami Heat’s NBA franchise, including the change of the name of its stadium to ‘’FTX Arena’’.
Crypto.com has also made significant moves partnering with Formula 1 for a reported fee of $100 million some weeks ago. Additionally, the UFC has over 450 million fans globally and represents a great deal for crypto.com. It will be interesting to see how it impacts the adoption of its services in the coming months.

Do you think this partnership is great for crypto adoption?
