Musk’s deal for Twitter looks set to go with original $44B price tag

This has been an ongoing rumor for a while. However, in recent times, it seems the deal is set to happen. In the early hours of Wednesday, Tesla CEO and billionaire Elon Musk looked ready to finalize his $44 billion purchase of Twitter.

In the intimacy issued by Elon's lawyers on the 3rd of October with the Delaware Chancery Court, which was in charge of the trial, it was reported that Musky was ready to close up the deal contemplated by the April 25, 2022 Merger Agreement.

This is preceded by many months of legal dilly-dallying with the social media platform wherein Musk tried to back out of the deal, explaining that Twitter lacked transparency as regards its spam boots, financial health of the business, and parody accounts, and comes a few days before a swiftly approaching court date fixed to finalize the deal on the 17th of October.

The deal proposed by Elon is accompanied by several conditions. One says: an immediate stay of the actions; a postponement of the trial; and ongoing receipt of financing. With everything noticed, Twitter looks to be prepared to settle the terms of the deal, reporting in a Twitter post on the 4th of October that they plan to round off the deal at $54.20 per share.

Uncertain whether Musk's change of heart was due to the approaching court date. The founder of SpaceX and Tesla, though, has already hinted at ambitions for the platform once he acquires it.

Let us know what your thoughts are about this? Do you think Elon's acquisition of Twitter is the best for the world?
