Hunan Government plans to build a new technology infrastructure focusing on blockchain technology for the region.
On August 19, Conflux Network received the government backing to begin the project. The company has earlier received similar approval from the Shanghai Local Government.
The official announcement to build a research laboratory at Hunan University was made at a meeting where representatives from Conflux, government officials, including the deputy governor and officials from the university were present.
Conflux’s director stated that the lab would improve the blockchain technology sector of the province and serve as a platform for promoting research and development opportunities.
Additionally, Conflux aims to build projects that promote societal and governmental affairs by introducing new ways of exchanging data among different sections of the Hunan government.
