My Crypto Trading Experience: From Novice to Professional

I personally belong to a school of thought that wanted evidence to justify decision at every slight opportunity. Therefore, when the opportunity on how to make decent earnings from cryptocurrency was being presented to me by a friend who was into it already I just jettisoned the gesture to be a fraudulent scheme. I wouldn't want what would make me bite my fingers after losing my hard-earned income and so I never reconsidered giving it a try for a long time.

Around November 2016, a friend of mine gave me an article with the caption "The New Money Order" to read. The headline attracted my attention and created deep curiosity to want to know more about the subject. While reading the write-up, I came across unknown ideology of a new-age electronic money order that uses the power of a computer to create and distribute "Bitcoin". The news bulletin disclosed further that the users of the digital currency do not need a bank to facilitate transactions neither do they need a third party for trust obligation and that the cryptocurrency was being invented by Satoshi Nakamoto. The lower denomination of the money was named after "Satoshi". A satoshi comprises 0.00000001 BTC while 1 BTC is the head currency being benchmarked against any fiat and other digital currencies at exchanges.

The most fascinating aspect of my learning is that I established the fact that bitcoin is not just digital but that in Europe there are dedicated BTC Automated Teller Machine (ATM) where users can cash out their wallet balance. To me, my quest had been fulfilled getting to know that I could exchange bitcoin for fiat currency of choice but on the contrary, despite the ready information at my tips I was still not convinced to part my with money in exchange cryptocurrency.

After a year, I got a knock on my door from the same friend of mine whom I consider as internet savvy. He was so excited as he showed me his remitano.com wallet pointing out that the bitcoin that he bought around the year 2015 had gone up by 449% in value in the year 2016. Listening to his revelation, I broke down instantly in regret and I hated myself for being extremely indifferent to give BTC a try.

I needed no extra convincing to get started this time around so I told him to put me through the registration process on the remitano platform. Thereafter, I immediately started to follow his step-by-step guide on how to verify my new remitano wallet. So, I supplied my email account and then checked back in my email to click the sent link needed to proceed unto verification. After re-logging in into my newly created account I went further to locate the "settings" on my remitano dashboard in to submit my government-issued ID documents and enable 2FA for extra layer security.

After few hours of making effort I finally passed all verification requirements and the account was verified and ready to use.

At this stage, my friend told me to use my spare money to buy the bitcoin quantity that I could afford to HODL in my wallet and I started with 20,000 NGN which at that time sold for 0.022 BTC.

No sooner had I clicked the buy button on the remitano platform than I got paired with a seller. The timer kept counting down from 14 Minutes: 59 Seconds in the moment of waiting and that made me more frightened because I was scared to lose money thinking that I would not be able to finish the transaction within the allotted time limit. At this point, my friend started to put me through the quick process needed to meet the time limit. He ordered me to pay into the displayed vendor's bank account around 06 Minutes 02 Secs on the countdown despite the fact that the bank transfer service was not going through as a result of bad network service from my bank's end. At around 04 Minutes 03 Seconds, I succeeded to get through to my bank customer care agent who told me to use alternative banking channel on the internet instead of USSD application that I had been using. Surprisingly, around 01 Minutes 11 Secs I got a debit alert and applicable bank charges of 20,052.50 NGN altogether on my smartphone indicating that the money had been moved to the seller's account.

At exactly 00 Minute 12 Secs I tapped the "paid button" on my dashboard to make the vendor release my first anticipated BTC from the escrow where it was being held and at the next moment, my expectation had been ripped apart with anxiety because as at 0 Minute 00 Seconds, the seller was still maintaining his stand that my trade transaction had not reflected on his bank account. Suddenly, I started to feel heated up in my insides, I began sweating profusely thinking that I had lost a whooping 20,052.50 NGN saved up from my salary from the previous month.

Afterwards, I turned to my friend and started to unleash unimaginable rage on him "do you know that if I lose this money I can tell the police that you had connived with a criminal to swindle me?" My friend could not believe what came out of my guts as I sternly looked at him in angry grimace and great emotional outburst. Much to my surprise, he simply told me "I will refund your money in case you don't get it back from this trade". This expression at least dispelled my fear and got my mood stable again nevertheless, I kept close watch on how he was pressing on with the case after collecting my smartphone to file for dispute on the trade panel.

In a short while after 36 seconds, the support demanded the upload of proof of payment and the vendor was also contacted to do the same for the arbitration to commence. With alacrity, my friend uploaded my bank debit proof and we waited for about 26 minutes before we discovered that the bitcoin had been released by the vendor who sent an on-screen apology that he was actually depending on his bank's notification report by short messaging service which did not come up on his mobile phone. He revealed that he had to log on to his bank account via his internet channel before getting to see the money.

At this point I was so excited with the brilliant technology that powered the remitano trading platform in that the system cannot be compared to anything else with the way the customer agent attended to resolve the dispute within a short time. Yes! Thanks to the professional escrow and intelligent dispute resolve technique. Also, special thanks to my friend that stepped in to help me make my first bitcoin buying experience blissful.

After HODLing the bitcoin for six months I saw the need to sell it off because the value had increased by 23%. This I purposed in my heart that I would carry out without informing my friend about it just to see how I would fare in crypto trading. My BTC balance on the dashboard still stood at 0.022 BTC at that time and I only needed to pay 0.1% as the transaction fee to trade on the platform. Having set my priority right to sell off my entire crypto asset, I set my sell box to 'max' and the value displayed in Naira brought much relish to my soul as I stood to gain 23% of my purchase price.

No sooner than I pressed sell button than I saw the order matched instantly to a buyer, a trader verified 3 years prior to my trade encounter. I got more fascinated to continue and the page navigated to another place where I was asked to supply my banking details before I could proceed further. After I succeeded to input my banking information, I was taken to a page where the counter kept counting down from 29 minutes 59 seconds. And when I would not know what to do again I waited until the counter was at 13 minutes 14 seconds before I saw another message on my email that I should release the coin indicating that the seller has completed payment. Hesitantly, I waited for my bank alert for confirmation because I would not want to undergo the dispute process again.

After 15 seconds, I saw another email notification confirming vendor's payment that I already had from my bank through SMS notification and all this good experience changed my mindset about cryptocurrency trading from the opinion of scam to legitimacy. Luckily for me, I got the amount anticipated for 24,600.08 NGN from the vendor correctly. This really went down well with me as I clicked on the I have received payment button to release the coin to the buyer who was waiting for it.

I felt like I was on top of the world! I was so happy to achieve this feat alone without the help of any sort except for information gotten from the site itself.

After the trade had closed, I called two of my friends to inform them of my latest experience in crypto trading and the news blew their minds as if I hit a million dollars jackpot. They could not hold themselves anymore and under 10 minutes from the time I placed the calls, I saw a car zoomed into my premises with loud music blasting heavily to the extent that I had to caution them to stop so as not to constitute disturbance for my neighbours. As soon as David who taught me how to buy Bitcoin stepped out of his car, he started chanting "Prof! Prof!! Prof!!" and I sternly charged at him to cease from making noise about my feat but rather, Tunde, our school mate who came with him also started to say the same thing "Prof! Prof!! Prof!!" and at this junction, I knew I had to accept my faith as I had no control over the situation anymore. As they continued, my neighbours finally came out of fright to see what was going on. Much to my chagrin as Tunde threw the cat out the bag to one of them that "the newest professor of bitcoin cryptocurrency trading has just emerged in your hood albeit all of you don't recognize that and that is why we are here to celebrate him and proclaim him to the world". This accolade just went like a good script really prepared for the moment. I felt I was a hero as my neighbour got impressed and followed my friends into my apartment to celebrate with me and to learn how I made my success story!

This event really makes me feel so great anytime I recall how I eventually become a professional trader after all doubts. I feel elated not only because I became a hero but that my beautiful neighbour whom I did not know how to date before eventually became my lovely wife at the aftermath of her first visit with my friends on the D day of my celebration of success.

My lovely wife knows how to motivate me better whenever I am down from making life decision with a mutter "Prof you can do it!" and that is just the magic because I can do all things certainly since I became a professional in Bitcoin trading.

To this end, my cryptocurrency experience from novice to professional trading has been a blissful experience always.
