Key Takeaways

  • Thailand Tourist Unit is planning to introduce a token known as the TAT coin.
  • The main aim of the introduction is to draw in more tourists to the country.
  • The Unit is planning to collaborate with Bitkub to help feature the token.

Plans are reportedly ongoing by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to introduce a utility token which will be named after the Organization and will be called TAT coin.

Successful Introduction of this token requires the agency to get authorization from the relevant Organs.

As per a report obtained from Bangkok, it is reported that one of the chief aims why the Unit is considering the innovation of its token is to draw crypto users to the country.

TAT coin is expected to be able to help in sending vouchers and also allows operators to get greater liquidity.

Mr. Yuthasak, the head of the Country's Tourism Units applauded cryptocurrency as one of the digital innovations which have been helping since its inception and he described it as a world-changer asset.

Because of the numerous benefits of the cryptocurrency, Yuthasak thought joining in the cryptocurrency usage and adoption was one of the ways to recover the nation from the adverse effects of the Coronavirus pandemic on the Nation's tourism unit.

Thailand has the reputation of being one of the countries with many tourist attractions and the introduction of the token will help in drawing more tourists to the country.

Yuthasak highlighted the need for proper preparation to ensure the success of the project, as it is important for people in the tourism unit to seek more knowledge about digital assets and what it entails.

Adopting the token may not be successful without the unit seeking authorization from the government of the country as taking such action may be beyond the jurisdiction of the Unit.

In addition to the TAT coin project, there are still some other cryptocurrency-related plans outlined by the organization which are expected to improve the level of tourism in the Country.

One of these plans is the intention of the organization to collaborate with BitKub.

Bitkub will help the organization by featuring TAT coin or any other digital asset like NFT to help in solving the problem of the increasing need for crypto services.

The NFTs may aid the Tourism Unit of Thailand but it is still considered unlawful in the nation.

As a way of bringing in more visitors, the Tourism unit is considering the usage of bitcoin debit cards at their airport.

Visitors will be able to clear bills required to be paid during their tours without having to spend any additional charges for using the ATM or while exchanging currency.

It is noteworthy that the Covid-19 pandemic has an adverse effect on the lifestyle of a very large number of the world population.

A large number of people now work at the comfort of their home as they are privileged to do it from anywhere.

This seems to be a good indication for Thailand as many of these people are pro-crypto who can utilize the intended token opportunities in the country.

With this intention of introducing digital token, do you think it will help Thailand in attracting tourists as intended?
