Takaya Nakamura, a representative of a japan based exchange, Fisco, says Japan is trailing behind on the development of national digital currency and should offer support to America in developing the digital dollar.
He stated that the country's motive is to earnestly persuade the United States to take CBDC seriously as the battle for cryptocurrency amongst nations brews fiercely. He also added that the country does not have the independent capacity to accomplish something of such nature.
Nevertheless, it is fathomable if they choose to join forces with different developed countries and impact the creation of digital currencies.
The Japanese administration is supposedly making plans to add a central bank digital currency (CBDC) deliberation as part of its economic policies within a short time. Nevertheless, Japan is notably supporting China's efforts with the creation of digital Yuan.
Japanese central bank is operating with other nations, including Canada, Switzerland, and other European countries on investigating digital currencies.
He also said it would be of economic disadvantage for Japan to let the USA dollars go because it relies on the USA for its military and economic activities. Additionally, the country holds most of its international currency reserves in USD.
