On the 27th of this month, validator Launchpad for the ETH 2.0 was released by developers to enable members to take part in the Testnet proof of stake slated to kick off on the 4th of August. Developers have paved the way for validators in the forthcoming ETH 2.0 final Testnet.

Researchers in charge of the ETH 2.0 announced that validator Launchpad would be released for the forthcoming Medalla multi-client testnet. Ethereum blog said the validator was going to be released to allow users to monitor and deposit into the forthcoming testnet. The blog post published on July 27 revealed that modification of the interface would continue until the mainnet is launched.

Members and their portfolios would be tracked in the next stage to validate the testnet. To be able to run a validating node, members need to stake at least 32 Ethereum. Medalla is going to kick off only if a minimum of 16,384 validators stakes a total of 524,288 ETH, says the coordinator, Danny Ryan.

Reporting today, Trustnodes revealed that there are deposits of over 150 thousand ETH from validators, which means that approximately 30.5% of the validators required to launch next week has been reached.
