From hearty jubilations by the Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) token's community about a possible return to the low performance of reputable tokens in the bear market, the past few months have witnessed a mix of several developments in the crypto world. A piece of shocking news involving an arrest warrant by a South Korean court for the creator of Terraform came up yesterday.
Do Kwon, the creator of the Terraform Labs cryptocurrency ecosystem, whose collapse earlier this year prompted a global crypto meltdown, has an arrest order issued by a judge in South Korea.
South Korea issues arrest warrant for Terra Founder Do Kwon
According to a text message from the prosecutor's office, Do Kwon and five other people are wanted by the Seoul authorities on suspicion of breaking the country's capital markets legislation.
A significant experience happened in May within the Terra community, where what they initially thought was a FUD campaign turned into one of the worst market crashes in cryptocurrency history. This event cost millions of dollars in assets (LUNC) from investors in Terra (LUNA), now regarded as Terra Luna Classic, and Terra USD (UST), now known as Terra Classic USD (USTC).

Other events were also set in motion when LUNA experienced a sharp decline to a record low of $0.0000009. The project's Reddit community had to include suicide hotlines on their page. LUNA isn't a stranger to peaks, as it once achieved one at $119.18 in April.
In June, the UST stablecoin dropped to an all-time low of $0.006, and during this time, it began to stray from its dollar peg. In this same month, a Reuters article reported that some Terraform Labs employees were prohibited from travelling outside the country and had already been added to a no-fly list, with quotes from an anonymous source at South Korea's Supreme Prosecutors' Office.
In July, prosecutors searched Daniel Shin, a co-founder of Terraform Lab, at his residence as their investigation into claims of unlawful activities leading to the demise of TerraUSD progressed.
On August 16, Kwon ended his silence to defend himself against various charges. Nevertheless, despite Kwon's attempts, the Terra CEO was condemned by the community, who contrasted his predicament with that of Tornado Cash's founder, who was detained for designing a privacy code.
On August 17, the Terra founder also engaged legal counsel from a South Korean law company, just a few days after claiming that the officials had not yet contacted him. The agency in charge of looking into the Terra catastrophe reportedly got a letter of appointment from the exchange’s CEO. Do you think Do Kwon can move on from these events? And would it affect the token itself? Please share your thoughts with us in the comments section.
