The announcement comes just a few weeks after YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki stated that the company could leverage Web3 "as an inspiration" for development and perhaps implement NFTs on the site.
In a Feb. 10 blog post, YouTube's Chief Product Officer Neal Mohan listed a large set of latest products, resources, and capabilities that the company plans to launch in 2022, including Web3 technology, blockchain, NFTs, and the Metaverse.

Following comments from the public, Mohan indicated that YouTube is continuously looking for new methods to offer extra aid and opportunities for its two million associated creators.
After mentioning that producers frequently strive with creating fresh concepts or determining what will be popular on the site, Mohan suggested Web3 technology such as NFTs as a possible remedy:
"Web3 also paves the path for creators." We hope that current innovations such as blockchain and NFTs will enable creators to develop closer interactions with their followers. They'll be able to work together on new initiatives and make income in ways that weren't formerly conceivable."
Mohan stated that producers might use NFT technology to tokenize their movies, images, art, and experiences to communicate with followers.
"There's a lot to think about in ensuring we handle these innovative methods appropriately," he said, "but we also think there's enormous potential."
Mohan also alluded to the present key buzzword of the moment — "Metaverse" — when he stated that audiences should expect certain different means to enjoy material through VR. The YouTube executive claimed that the company would first focus on gaming but provided no further details.

El Salvador’s Rating Lowered
Fitch lowered the rank due to policy instability resulting from the greater centralization of authority in the presidency, weakened institutions, and the legality and use of BTC.
According to the official post, Fitch's decision to downgrade El Salvador is based on "increased" financing concerns coming from an increasing reliance on short-term debt.
It also highlighted the nation's limited home market funding options and unclear exposure to further multilateral and outside market financing due to excessive borrowing costs. Another aspect is rising debt management problems resulting from the predicted growth in GDP next year following a slight recovery in 2021.

A further 18% increase in GDP, to $5.4 billion, is forecast. Regarding local financing possibilities, the rating company stated that private pension funds and financial institutions have a limited desire to increase their access to such products.
