Revolut reported on the 3rd of September that all its clients in Australia would be able to trade and possess crypto assets.
Revolut has over a million members on its crypto exchange, and about six thousand new accounts are registered on daily basis. The firm stated the transfer of crypto assets is now possible between its "metal plan" clients and other users.
Revolut app was launched to the public around August, providing a wide range of traditional financial services. The next people who would be gaining access to the app's trading features are it's standard and premium clients. The app enables its users to convert their fiat into BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP, BCH, and XLM.
The chief executive officer of Revolut, Edward Cooper, says they are helping people have easy access to digital currency just by doing what internet browsers did for the internet.
The Australian dollar has ranked 17th worldwide for BTC volume by currency as of the date and has a daily trading volume of 528 Bitcoin, which is about $6m.
Australia is also drawing the attention of some of the largest exchanges globally. Around January, the oldest crypto exchange in the country, Bit trade, was bought by Kraken, an America-based digital currency exchange.
In July, a fiat-to-crypto platform was launched by Binance for Australia's citizens, after the commencement of Binance lite last year.
Gemini is also making its services accessible to buyers and sellers in Australia, as it does not have a branch there. A month ago, it revealed that it had included support for users to trade in AUD.
