ALTCOINS, THE FUTURE OF CRYPTOCURRENCY.
Cryptocurrency and crypto trading has been the "talk of the town" of late, most especially since the mid 2018; it has gained a lot of popularity. Cryptocurrency has changed the lives of people and has even created millionaires.
People constantly trade and invest in the crypto market and since the price rise of Bitcoin, other cryptocurrency have gained popularity also. The likes of Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Ripple (XRP), Tether, Cardano, Bitcoin Cash, Chainlink, Stellar, Tron and so on. These other coins are known as Altcoins.
Bitcoin may be the "face" of cryptocurrency but Ethereum is the new Dark Horse of the market. Ethereum market capital is currently worth over $117.32B (USD). Ethereum market value continues to rise but the BTC value of ETH continues to fall. Ethereum is gradually hitting the bull run, it has been on massive fire of late and could get up to $2,000 (USD) a lot quicker than expected or maybe $5,000(USD) before the end of 2021. Ethereum is now in the list of the top 100 assets in the world by market capital with Apple topping the chart. Ethereum is big and lots of money has been, can be and is currently being made from it. Ethereum 2.0 has also been launched.
Ethereum is not the only crypto coin making waves, Litecoin is another altcoin that is profitable to also invest and trade in. It was an early Bitcoin spin-off that was released in 2011 and is also identical to Bitcoin to an extent. Litecoin is currently Worth over a hundred US Dollars ($120 to be precise) with a market capital of $8.72b (USD). This time last week, it was gaining momentum until it dipped.
Another popular altcoin is Ripple which was popular back then, lost value and is gaining popularity again. From the look of things, it looks like it's gradually making a comeback. Beginning of this year, it was worth 25cents per coin, it gained value and got up to 35cents per coin , now it has dropped to 27cents per coin. This doesn't mean that it is the end of it, the crypto market is very volatile and unpredictable, who knows, Ripple could double up and maybe get to a dollar before the end of 2021. It's market capital is currently worth $12.4b (USD).
Gold is crashing because all the money meant for it is going into crypto trading and investment. Analysts have also predicted that Americans will even use their COVID-19 stimulus cheques to buy crypto currency. South Korea even plans on imposing 20% tax on crypto trading by 2023.
