Barely 72 hours after the central bank of nigeria issued a circular ordering the closure of bank accounts and operations of crypto exchanges in Nigeria effective from 5 Feb 2021.
A number of centralized exchanges have begun to shut down operations permanently leaving their users with no option for withdrawal of funds. Some notable exchanges gave notice of intention to close down operations with modality for recovering crypto assets on their hot wallets while untold number of people who patronized unregistered crypto services across crypto space are already leaking their wounds after the operators suddenly go without traces.
One of this affected centralized exchanges that have done the right thing is cryptopay.ng in that they come out clear that they are closing operations with time grace for customers to withdraw their funds.
All these troubles are eye-opener for those who don't take crusaders of Remitano serious before now because after these test, it is certain that many exchanges shall not stand while remitano maintains a stand.
It is time to educate the world that no government order or policy can shut down Remitano from operating in the crypto space legitimately as long as they focus on the peer-to-peer model which is cross border.
Would you rather convince your friend that Remitano is a safe haven to trust now and always??
