Cardano's IOG is partnering with the Ethiopian government to use its blockchain technology to empower the country's education tech.

Cardano has a couple of projects in the bag. After running dry on projects for a while. It has begun to carry out other projects now. And some of these projects are geared towards Africa, just like its founder planned to do.
Charles Hoskinson, Cardano co-founder, and IOG CEO, updated the Cardano community on a much-anticipated announcement. On his YouTube channel, he posted a video about IOG's relationship with Ethiopia's government. They want to reform the education system in the region.

Major Signals

  • Cardano's IOG is partnering with the Ethiopian Government.
  • This partnership is to change its school systems positively.
  • The project will reach 5 million Students.
  • The country is considering other projects with IOG.

The news was also shared on Twitter by the Ethiopian Embassy in the United Kingdom by the Ethiopian Ambassador to the UK. The collaboration, according to a government official, is a phenomenal growth that is part of the country's Digital Transformation Strategy.

IOG has partnered with Ethiopia's Ministry of Education to develop a #blockchain-based nationwide teachers and students ID and proficiency tracking system that will digitally track grades, assess school results, and improve education.

The partnership will be based on the Atala PRISM ID solution from IOG. As a result, on top of Cardano's blockchain, the nation will set a new milestone for 5 million students. With the system, the records will be tamper-proof and stable. Through the success of this approach, officials would be able to track, target, and allocate resources.

Ethiopia is deciding whether or not to use other Atala products from IOG. The PRISM platform, for example, could be used in a variety of industries throughout the world, including agriculture, identity, and supply chain tracking. Ethiopia's blockchain-based education transition, according to IOG's African Operations Director, is a significant step forward in IOHK's quest aimed at providing economic identification, housing, social, and financial services to the technologically omitted.

Cardano has matured sufficiently to create a blockchain solution that can grow to service an entire country's population after five years of research and development. This project has the potential to pave the way for a new wave of third-generation blockchain innovation.

Conclusion

Cardano has been shaping up recently. The DeFi product, which had previously been tagged an Ethereum killer, is finally shaping up and may yet show that it has the potential to live up to its name. This month alone, it implemented smart contract upgrades to its platform. The platypus and the Alonzo upgrades.

With the growing cases of user adoption and how well the market has responded to it, Cardano might soon become a hot cake. It still has a strong community behind it. As it becomes more adopted across various platforms, we may see it soar above $1.50 and stay there.
