In the first round of Good Answers, Remitano found two best answers to the question:

" Considering the fact that previous bitcoin halvings were followed by massive appreciations in the price of bitcoin, could the price fluctuation between $8600 and $9872 after this year's halving be attributed to the novel Coronavirus pandemic? "

Congratulations to 2 players:

The price fluctuation between $8600 and $9872 can't be in any way attributed to the coronavirus pandemic. This is because rise and fall in price isn't the first time it's happening. This had also happened after the 2016 halving when the price of Bitcoin dropped to about $650 around July that year and later turned positive in September of that year. By December 16th, 2017, Bitcoin price had soared to nearly $20,000. The price then fell over the course of a year from this peak down to around $3,200, a price nearly 400% higher than its pre-halving price.
So the price dips is usually short-lived and which still rises sooner or later

Bitcoin actually falls victim to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cryptocurrencies saw two major bouts of selling in March amidst the broader plunge in equity markets. Even though they eventually recovered that ground, the price fluctuation between $8,600 and $9,872 after the halving is creditable partly to the cash inflows from diverted investment as well as the new money printing. The investors who caused the slight bull actually saw the opportunity to buy BTC at bargain-basement rates before price pop post halving.
