Crypto YouTube Channel Banned for Allegedly Fostering Illegal Conduct

Altcoin daily, a crypto channel on YouTube operated by two brothers with Aaron and Austin Arnold, which was reportedly banned after breaching youtube’s community guidelines has finally been cleared to continue operating after two days of being non-functional.

The owners of the channel with 214,000 subscribers, in a statement released on their twitter account, said, “We are a news/opinion channel. We have never promoted anything illegal. An appeal has been submitted.” They also urged their followers on youtube to support their cause for the reinstatement of their youtube channel.

On August 3, the appeal was granted, and the youtube channel is now functional after two days of being idle.

In another case, a cryptocurrency news-based website ‘bitcoin.com’ had their youtube channel halted based on “violation of youtube’s terms of service.” The channel was reinstated after two days of being off with the appeal of their twitter followers (a pattern followed by the Arnold family). This series of channel bans has led to speculations of youtube targeting crypto-related channels.

Late 2019, Crypto Beadles Robert Beadles’ had their page removed completely while Chris Dunn only had some of his videos removed, an action which youtube later announced as an error.
