BTC value rise above $12,000 was cut short as the cryptocurrency decreased by about 4% in a day to $11,600. But the market remains appreciated since other cryptocurrencies have also declined.
BTC's recent effort to smash $12,000 initially looked like a success, different from former trials when it broke off straightaway after increasing above it. But, the situation turned around yesterday after an unexpected decline in price to $11,800.
Although the cryptocurrency managed to regain some of its losses at first and it rose above $12,000. After a while, it decreased back to its current price at $11,700. Hence, BTC closed at a 4% loss today as it decreased to about $11,600.
The trading period on the 18th of August also saw gold suffer a sudden value decline, hence, justifying the increased similarities between cryptocurrency and gold.
On the other hand, shares market appreciated, with most of them recovering from the losses they suffered during the acute days of the Corona Virus outbreak.
