Bitgo Assets Clocks $16B as Adoption Rises

Crypto assets managed by BitGo hits a new level in December.

On the 23rd of December, the firm stated that it is now providing security for more than $16B worth of assets. Bitgo explained in a statement that the firm is getting more attention from institutional investors, stating that more institutional investors are looking to know more about crypto assets for custody and trading.

The company was established seven years ago, basically as a crypto wallet service provider. However, it has grown over the years to custody services for its clients.
The firm says it is in charge of more than 20% of all BTC transactions.

Some months back, Bitgo made the front page after reports that Pay Pal inc is interested in purchasing the firm.

Request for institutional-grade digital assets keeps rising in 2020, with firms including PayPal and grayscale benefiting from the adoption.

Based on reports, Skybridge capital is also making moves to establish a new BTC fund.
