The new iteration of the common and so far reliable Bitcoin (BTC) price model forecasts that the top-ranked cryptocurrency on CoinMarketCap will sell at a median price of $288,000—and this might unfold this year.
In a blog entry unveiling the third iteration of the stock-to-flow (S2F) model on April 27, Analyst PlanB announced new estimates that are making its prediction even bigger.
This time, gold and silver were introduced along with BTC to establish the current BTC S2F cross-asset template or S2FX.
Cash-to-flow determines a valuation dependent on the availability of fresh Bitcoins entering circulation from mining and current stocks, or "housing." The retroactive implementation shows that the model is incredibly competent to expand Bitcoin's charting, with the 60 per cent decline still dropping within its projected range last month.
Prior to S2FX, the "new" stock-to-flow curve placed BTC / USD at a level of around $100,000 between 2020 and 2024. But, with the introduction of the latest edition, the projection has just about tripled instantly.
"The S2FX model function will be used to predict the market valuation of the next BTC phase/cluster (BTC S2F would be 56 in 2020–24)," outlined in Plan B.
