Billionaire investor and ex-crypto cynic Carl Icahn announces plans to make a massive investment of $1.5 billion in Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Speaking with Bloomberg, the 89-year-old hedge fund manager stated that he is ready to step into the world of crypto “in a big way.” Carl Icahn, who was once an economic adviser to President Donald Trump, told CNBC news in 2018 that Bitcoin was laughable and he would never go near it.

Major Updates

Entrepreneur, crypto-asset investor, and Mythos Capital founder Ryan Sean Adams suggested on Twitter that Carl Icahn would not have gone public with this information if he hadn’t already made this huge move to acquire Ethereum and Bitcoin.

Carl Icahn is the largest shareholder of Icahn Enterprises, a New York-based organization worth 14.7 billion dollars. Forbes magazine has ranked Icahn to be the twenty-sixth richest person and the fifth richest Hedge Fund Manager with a net worth of 16.7 billion dollars. According to Icahn, although Cryptocurrency could linger, altcoins that do not possess any potential market value will soon fade out of the world of finance.

Conclusion

The Billionaire once said there are two cardinal sins; acting without thought and not acting at all. It is safe to say that Carl Icahn has had time to think and has made his decision as far as crypto is concerned.
