Symantec, a cybersecurity company, published another research about the rise in the price of crypto since March, followed by lots of malicious crypto-mining attacks. The malicious activities increased to 163% between April and June, which coincided with the rise in Bitcoin and Monero prices.
The report shows that malicious crypto mining increased from September 2017 to March 2019, and as of then, it became one of the most common types of cyber-attacks. But around March 2019, the Conhive project, a mining script maker, stopped operating, which caused the malicious crypto mining to an abrupt decline.
