In less than two days, Chainlink's first stake pool pulled in $170 million in LINK tokens, reaching the community limit

Chainlink, a provider of blockchain-related price feeds and data, organized its first staking pool, attracting 24.27 million tokens worth approximately $170 million, with community allocation filling up in two days. The new staking effort is structured to assist in getting the quality of the project's price feed for the cryptocurrency ether (ETH). Within the jurisdiction of this system, users and node operators devote their stores of Chainlink's LINK token as a guarantee in exchange for 4.75% annualized incentives.

The Chainlink team announced at 1:51 p.m. ET on Thursday that the staking community pool's capacity of 22.5 million total LINK tokens was totally filled to the brim. Though community allocation has been fully occupied, node operators are still able to stake their LINK tokens because the total staking pool is valued at 25 million LINK. This leaves node operators with nearly 730,000 nodes left to stake.

The staking programs were made available and accessible earlier in the day after an early-access spell kicked off on Tuesday and enjoyed a swift rise. At their present value, the invested tokens are valued at around $170 million. Investing is a major and indispensable part of the project's "Chainlink Economics 2.0" plan, chronicled on its website as "a new era of sustainable growth, cryptoeconomic security, and in-depth value capture."

In the post made by Chainlink, "Investors will receive incentives for helping secure the Data Feed, particularly by getting involved in a decentralized altering scheme that indicates perhaps the Data Feed has not reached some particular performance requirements regarding uptime." The massive interest in the new staking attempt depicts that a part of the investors and users are enthusiastic to fund digital-asset projects, though the market has not been promising due to the bearish pull and catastrophic happenings around FTX and bitcoin.

Regardless of the market's downcast run of events, Chainlink's first stake pool generated roughly $170 million in LINK tokens, filling to the brim in less than two days.
