CAN ETHEREUM HIT $20,000 (USD) THIS YEAR, 2021?
Ethereum is currently the leading altcoin in the cryptomarket. It is valued at $1,200 (USD) at the moment with a market capital of over $141B (USD).
It is quite obvious that the chances of it hitting $2,000 per ETH by the end of January is very possible and Ethereum hitting $20,000 (USD) per ETH can also happen because anything is possible in the cryptomarket.
Ethereum might most probably become the next play in 2021 for institutions. We have already seen what happened when institutions had to go into Bitcoin, they had to show that they had BTC in their balance sheet or else they would have been out of job.
I think that Ethereum will be the next big thing this year especially as it launches it's Futures market late by the end of next month, February.
In 2018, investors short BTC to the extent that the price went down, this started the decline of Bitcoin in price but the chances of that same predicament happening to Ethereum is still under probability but not on the high side because we're currently in a bull run and it look like that bull run is just beginning.
Wondering what the most basic and realistic price Ethereum can achieve in 2021 based on charts and basic Philosophy would be between $9,500 to $12,000.
If you recall, a lot of drama happened around Bitcoin when it hit it's $13,000 mark, it kept fluctuating, there were dips, and it looks like Ethereum could likely keep up that same energy.
Ethereum used to be worth and trade in cents, then it went up to a dollar, then tens of dollars, then hundred of dollars and now it's in it's thousands phase, so there's no reason why it can't trade at $1,200 and move to $12,000.
Ethereum could get up to $12,000 or even $20,000 but could still chop off anybody who thinks that trade would happen now.
An Ethereum dump is likely to occur also if investors and hedge funds decide to go long on Bitcoin and go short on Ethereum and it won't be surprising because this exact thing happens back in 2017. People might still decide to do that sort of trade.
The cryptomarket market is extremely volatile and quite unpredictable so it's somewhat difficult know give and exact prediction of Ethereum's 2021 mark but from the look of things, the future looks bright for Ethereum.
