VeChain is Helping a Cyprus Hospital to Store COVID-19 Test Results on the Blockchain

In the past few years, VeChain has been known for its big-name partnerships. It has plenty of huge corporations under its partnership list. However, this doesn’t stop VeChain from cooperating with newer entities to solve other real-life problems.

This time, VeChain decided to partner with I-Dante, a digital solution firm that’s focused on healthcare, to help the Mediterranian Hospital in Cyprus. Together, they created a system that allows hospitals to store COVID-19 test results on the blockchain. The platform from this partnership between VeChain and I-Dante is called E-NewHealthLife, and it will allow Cyprus citizens to store their test results directly on the blockchain.

The stored data would be encrypted by the VeChain blockchain and will be presented onto the E-HCert app. Thanks to this partnership, the hospital is able to reduce data storage and sharing costs.

E-HCert app would allow its users to get fast and reliable COVID-19 test results. Not only that, but the users would also be able to control their own medical data to show how healthy they are. As we all know, records on the blockchain are immutable. By storing medical data on the blockchain, people don’t need to be afraid of any centralized entity abusing their medical records.
