Internet security companies have noticed the rapid increase in cryptocurrency-related scams in Russia in the first six months of 2020. Researchers revealed that the numbers have tripled compared to this time last year. About 23,000 websites have been reported to be affected in these cybercrimes and more victims are still being searched for.
The scammers were reported to have adopted different fraud antics to get to their targets. An example is inviting victims to participate in surveys and get paid, but they will only be eligible after paying an entrance fee.
