Sam Bankman-Fried, the infamous head of FTX who gambled away billions of dollars from clients, will attend the New York Times Dealbook Summit among other notables,including Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.
The CEO of BlackRock, Larry Fink, will also take part. BlackRock, which is estimated to manage $10 trillion in assets, advised the US government on how to use stimulus funds in 2009 and 2020. Some have argued that this constituted a conflict of interest because the government made investments in possible BlackRock holdings, such as the Fed purchasing ETFs in 2020.
The corporation has also faced criticism for its significant fund concentration.

For instance, they hold 6.34% of Apple and 6.77% of Microsoft, respectively, and manage assets worth almost 50% of US GDP. Despite this, they are still growing, with BlackRock today overseeing $50 billion in USDC assets.
Additionally, they considered buying bitcoin and ethereum, but nothing significant has happened in that regard. Since 2016, Mark Zuckerberg has undoubtedly courted considerable criticism, and this year Facebook's stock has plummeted. They are down 67% from the prior year.
