I think it could be yes, but there is another factor in play, I believe Bitcoin is more mainstream, appreciated and known better now than in the past, so because Bitcoin was not known well by the majority of people in the past, anything that happened to bitcoin had a major impact in change in it's value, like spiking up or going down, but nowadays it is more stable, people understand it more and the community is stronger, so I am guessing any event concerning Bitcoin now, will not have a major impact in the value due to people accepting and understanding it.

Bitcoin's decline during the first half of the past year can be said due to the impact of a global economic downturn, from the real estate of trading securities trading has declined, so the price of bitcoin also decreased. Besides, the main trend of bitcoin is still to reduce to investors who have not decided to buy more than to sell, during this time there is the appearance of coronavirus which can be said to be the main cause of the price impact. strong from $ 8600 $ -9872, why is that? because this disease happened uncontrollably, people could not expect its consequences, all economic sectors plummeted and froze, the fear covered the market that people wanted to protect their assets. their products sold off and ran away, causing the price of bitcoin to drop, breaking all technical analysis, assuming that without this pandemic the price would not have dropped so deeply, just with bad information from The market also affects the value of bitcoin.

Yes, the corona virus pandemic may have an impact on the price of Bitcoin. While bitcoin has put in a solid positive performance ahead of halving, the ascent seems to have run out of steam over the past couple of days. The cryptocurrency is trading near $8,650 at press time, representing a 3% drop on the day, having failed to keep gains above $9,000 in the last few days, according to CoinDesk’s Bitcoin Price Index. So investors are shunning risk, possibly due to the growing conflictover U.S. claims about China’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak. If the risk aversion worsens, bitcoin may extend the drop toward the 200-day average at $8,000. Nevertheless, given the current pandemic-fuelled market volatility, I believe a few surprises could be in store for Bitcoin in the short term. With the corona virus pandemic behind us, more governments, businesses and individuals will look to virtual currencies such as bitcoin to prepare for future disruptions- both as a store of value and as a way to transact with others around the world. This will lead to significant increase in the price of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin fluctuating between $8,600 and $9,872 after the halving is not in anyway attributed to the novel coronavirus pandemic, this is simply a temporary occurrence and eventually Bitcoin will surely supersedes it's all time high.

Neither the first nor the second halving occurred while the global economy stood on the precipice of a recession. The major cause of the positive price fluctuation after the third halving could be attributed to the palliative measures being provided in huge stimulus packages by the central banks around the world to cushion the economic fallout caused by the the harsh impacts of coronavirus pandemic. Why part of this rebound may be explained by a renewed risk-on attitude of global investors. It is also clear that the bull evident in price fluctuation between $8,600 and $9,872 could have been triggered by the speculative hype around May halving event and the anticipated rise in value in the wake of it as against the pogrom of coronavirus itself.

Bitcoin actually falls victim to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cryptocurrencies saw two major bouts of selling in March amidst the broader plunge in equity markets. Even though they eventually recovered that ground, the price fluctuation between $8,600 and $9,872 after the halving is creditable partly to the cash inflows from diverted investment as well as the new money printing. The investors who caused the slight bull actually saw the opportunity to buy BTC at bargain basement rates before price pop post halving.

The price fluctuation between $8600 and $9872 can't be in any way attributed to the coronavirus pandemic. This is because rise and fall in price isn't the first time it's happening. This had also happened after the 2016 halving when the price of Bitcoin dropped to about $650 around July that year and later turned positive in September of that year. By December 16th, 2017, Bitcoin price had soared to nearly $20,000. The price then fell over the course of a year from this peak down to around $3,200, a price nearly 400% higher than its pre-halving price. So the price dips, is usually short-lived and which still rises sooner or later.

No, Bitcoin took a dive to 4600 usd right after the world got hit. Then it slowly crept back up to the current level, where it had been before the covid-19 crisis. since there have only been two previous halvings, it means there are only two data points, which is not significant enough to devise a trend. Traditionally bitcoin halving effects take place after 12–18 months after the halving. The first halving took place on 28 November 2012, when one BTC was worth around $11. In the course of just a year after the event, Bitcoin’s price swelled to $1,100. Previous halving in 2016 was in middle of Bull Market. This halving was in middle of a recession. Bitcoin maintained a price of around $600–$700 before flying to $20,000 and nobody knows how long or how deep this recession will be. The only reason BTC price will increase is when a bunch of new money decides to bid up the price of existing coins. Without new demand that is backed by deep pocket new money, the price will remain flat or decrease. The Law of demand & supply is still alive & well. Prices do not spontaneously increase. Prices go up when There is no other reason for price increase
